FULL TIME PERMANENT PERMANENT: Radiology Special Procedure Tech ll-
FT
BILL RATE: $24.44-$45.00
SHIFT: DAYS 0800-1630, MONDAY-FRIDAY.
CALL IS MONDAY-THURSDAY ONLY AND IS SHARED WITH TWO OTHER TECHS;
WEEKEND CALL ONCE A MONTH
REQUIREMENTS:
ARRT RADIOGRAPHY
LICENSE TX MED RAD TECH
BLS (AHA) WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE
ASSOCIATES OR BETTER IN RADIOGRAPHY: GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED
PROGRAM IN RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGY EITHER HOSPITAL BASED OR COLLEGE
DEGREE PROGRAM
2 YEARS' EXPERIENCE AS A RAD TECH SPECIAL PROCEDURES l, WORKING IN
AN INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY OR CARDIO CATH LAB UNIT
PREFERRED: ADVANCED ARRT REGISTRATION
PREFERRED INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY CERTIFICATION
The Staff Technologist provides patient services using imaging
modalities, performs radiographic procedures, applies principles of
radiation protection and the ALARA principle, exercises
professional judgment in the performance of procedures, provides
patient care essential to radiographic procedures, recognizes
patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life
support measures, establishes and maintains a good rapport and
professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments
and the Medical Staff. Performs radiology services "on call" as
needed.
